Free voice chat with strangers: audio only, no signup
Random Talker connects you one-to-one with a random stranger for a live audio conversation in your browser. There's no camera, no profile and no app to install. You only need a microphone. Tap "Start Talking", allow mic access, and you're talking to someone new within seconds. If the conversation isn't going anywhere, skip to the next person.
Because it's voice only, nobody sees your face or your room, and you don't have to share a name. That makes it easier to practise spoken English, talk late at night when friends are asleep, or just hear a new voice. FAQ
Voice chat with strangers: common questions
Is voice chat with strangers free?
Yes. Random Talker is free to use and you don't need to sign up. An optional Premium subscription adds priority matching and an ad-free experience.
Do I need to log in or create an account?
No. Open the site, allow microphone access and you're matched. An account is optional and only needed if you want to keep your chat history between sessions.
Can I choose which country my partner is from?
No. Everyone is matched from one global pool, and you see your partner's country once you're connected. The country pages above describe how people in each place use the site; they don't change who you're matched with. Most of our visitors are in India.
Is it audio only, or can the other person see me?
Audio only. Random Talker never asks for your camera. If you'd rather not talk out loud, you can switch to text-only chat.
Are the voice calls recorded?
No. Calls connect peer-to-peer over WebRTC, are encrypted with DTLS-SRTP, and are never recorded or stored.
What can I do if a stranger is rude or makes me uncomfortable?
Skip or hang up at any time, no explanation needed. You can also report the person during the call for harassment or hate, sexual content, spam or scams, or being underage. The site is 18+ only.
More answers are on the FAQ page, and report and ban numbers are published each month on the safety page.
