Safety on Random Talker
Random Talker is voice-only and 18+. We never record or listen to calls, which keeps your conversations private and means we rely on you to tell us when someone breaks the rules. Here's how reporting works, what happens after you report, and how many reports and bans we handle each month.
How to report someone
- 1
Tap Report
Use the flag button during a call, or the Report button that appears in the chat right after a call ends.
- 2
Pick a reason
Choose the one that fits best from the list below. If you think the person is under 18, choose "Underage user".
- 3
Skip if you want to
You don't have to wait for us. Skip to end the conversation straight away. Reports are anonymous: the person you report is never told who reported them.
What happens after you report
We check it came from a real conversation
You can only report the person you were actually connected with, so nobody can be reported by someone they never talked to. Reporting the same person again within 24 hours counts once.
Repeated reports trigger an automatic restriction
When several different people report the same user within 24 hours, that user is restricted automatically. They're removed from any call they're in, on every device, and can't connect until the restriction ends.
Our team reviews reports
Reports go to our moderation dashboard, where we can ban people for longer, including after a single serious report.
The restricted person is told why
They see the reason and when the restriction ends. Signed-in users are also notified by email.
Think we got it wrong? Email [email protected] to appeal. Formal complaints go to our Grievance Officer.
Reports and bans, month by month
Every report submitted and every restriction or ban issued, counted by calendar month (UTC). Figures start in July 2026, when reporting launched. The current month is a running total.
These numbers are temporarily unavailable. Please check back later.
Bans include automatic restrictions and bans issued by our team, including any later lifted on appeal.
Tools you can use any time
Skip. End any conversation instantly and move on to someone new.
Block. Block someone from your call history. They can't call you, and you won't be matched with them again.
Blurred images. Pictures sent in chat stay blurred until you tap to view them.
Contact details hidden. Phone numbers and email addresses typed in chat are hidden automatically.
No recordings. Calls go directly between you and the other person and are never recorded or stored.
